This is not what the final design of the blogs is going to be. Though it does sorta look cool to me.
I've been running Linux on my laptop since October 2024, over a year at this point, and I have definitely learned a lot since then about these forms of software as well as their strengths and weak points. I started with Linux Mint since it was the most recommended OS, apart from Zorin OS, that was best for linux newbies (or Windows Refugees). This was my first time ever installing and flashing a completely new OS to my Dell inspiron 15 5510, and to say I was nervous would be an understatement. I didn't knwo if this simple operation would completely ruin my laptop since windows licenses were over $100 and I was a broke teenager with no job. Well... after doing the needed steps I was able to completely change the operating system my Laptop had, and I was happy it went well without any hitches... or so I thought. So while installing Linux Mint onto my computer I had the idea of completely ditching Windows alltogether. So, yeah. Now with my laptop being a full Linux Mint machine, I needed to see if I could do the same tasks I could when I was on Windows. and it was possible and now that mwans I can daily drive Linux Mint for the rest of time. I then kept using it for the next couple of months, but then got a bunch of FOMO because the software I wanted to use was all on Windows, and I completely wiped my windows copy, so I had two options: either I upgrade to a computer with more powerful hardware with a copy of windows already installed, or just keep using Linux Mint. I decided to buy a new computer with the money saved up from birthdays and cristmases cards my grandmother sent me. With this i was able to get myself an Optiplex and a monitor. Then after setting up the optiplex I was able to have my own Windows computer as well as a linux system, so now I could choose whether or not to have the Windows system or the Linux system.
Fast forward to a couple of months using my windows computer I begin wanting to use Linux again, but instead on my desktop. If I were going to do that I would need to partition around half of my 512 GB nvme drive over to the new OS which should be good enough. For this one, I decided to go with Fedora as my next OS as I heard it was an inbetween of Arch Linux's bleeding edge and Debian's Stable releases, and it seemed suitable for what I wanted coming from an Operating system: up-to-date but stable for me not to constantly troubleshoot. It was probably one of my more favorite distros to use considering I customized the fuck out of it: installing and removing different desktop environments, window managers, compositors, themes, icons, all the sorts to have a computer I would enjoy using for the rest of time. I enjoyed using Fedora for the most part as it only broke when I tried installing some outdated Gaomon drivers, to which I just decided to go for a better alternative as what I've heard online, OpenTabletDriver is what i installed instead. There also came a frustration with recording audio and just the frustratons of using OBS on linux, so y'know the usual hiccups. But then after 6-7 months of using Fedora, by far the longest I've ever kept linux on my computer, I uninstalled it and just kept windows on my drive. Now I'm here with My Laptop having gone through Linux Mint, Debian and now openSUSE, I'm wanting to go back to Fedora as that was the distro I've used the longest.
I'm still learning how to make websites on my own, so don't judge me for doing this. This is only to test whether I can make multiple pages on my site.
